BEADING WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS (4-10 students per class)
Introduction to Beading $35 - one strand of semi-precious stones and materials included –
tools provided. In this course you will learn to use beading boards to design and string a necklace. You will create a beautiful
piece of jewelry by using Softflex, crimp beads and a clasp to give your work a professional finish.
METAL & GLASS WORKSHOPS (4-8 students per
class) BASIC SOLDERING 101 - HOW TO GET UNSCARED OF THE TORCH - $55 + $10 sterling silver fee. This class teaches the student the most basic and important aspects of silversmithing. You
will further develop your jewelry making skill and confidence while you learn how to safely use the jewelers’ torch
by using standard silver soldering techniques in this informative, hands on workshop. Tools: Provided
BEZEL
SETTING - $65 + $25 - You will learn how to make a sterling silver bezel and set a stone as you further your jewelry
making skill and confidence. You'll use a saw, cut a backplate, make a bail and use bezel wire and ccreate a bezel-set pendant
using the Smith Little Torch and standard silver soldering techniques. Tools: Provided
BASIC ENAMELING - $45 + $10 A perfect introduction to the art of enameling, A basic
class for the beginner, you’ll learn
about metal preparation and fabrication for enameling, kiln properties and methods for firing, properties of enamel, and dry
and wet application techniques. Tools: Provided
Basic Metalsmithing Techniques $55 + $10 - Design and create a fantastic pendant with your own texture, dimension and pattern by
using hand tools such as the saw, drill, file, dapping block and different hammers. You'll also be using a variety of
our power tools like the flex-shaft, buffing wheels, drill press, vise and brake & shear. .
FUSED GLASS Pendant Designs $55 +
$15 materials fee. Project: One-of-a-kind pendants! Learn how to make fun, one-of-a-kind fused glass pendants with an assortment
of unique dichroic and colorful glass. Different colors will be achieved by varying the thickness and shape of the glass you
use. Your jewelry is placed in the kiln, heated to 1,500°, which fuses the glass together. You’ll create finished
pieces to be proud of! Tools: Provided
"PMC"
Pure Silver Precious Metal Clay $55 + $40 materials fee. PMC 3 - The most profound advancement in precious metal in
years. The sky is the limit with this fabulous product. Create one-of-a- kind pure silver beads, pendants, rings, etc. From
the most simple design to an intricate pattern, it’s only as limited as your imagination! Both PMC clay and PMC paper
classes available. Tools: Provided dedicated to Silversmithing and Lapidary.
